KM Bedigan is a prolific knitwear designer in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her background in archeology and history provides inspiration for her full line of knitwear designs. When Renee Van Hoy was in the hospital having lost her vision, she began imagining her own knitting patterns. Now she is a designer and writer whose work focuses on the oft-neglected art of loom knitting. Renee’s line of timeless knit designs proves more is possible with a loom than many of us assume.
Renee has worked to introduce lace, modular construction and other innovations in terms especially written for loom knitters. In addition to her design work, Renee works with designs across the fiber arts to write accessible patterns for the blind and print challenged.
